Our staff roles
We're looking for dedicated individuals to fill key roles that are integral to our camp's mission and success. As a staff member at ABC Legacy Camp, you'll contribute to a supportive and enriching community.
Counselors / Sm grp leader
Guide and mentor small groups of campers, fostering a safe, fun, and spiritually enriching environment. Lead activities, build relationships, and be a positive role model.
Teaching - Large group
Prepares and teaches engaging Bible-based messages for the entire camp. Breaks down the weekly theme and key verse (Gospel of John 1:5) in age-appropriate, interactive ways that help campers understand how God’s light overcomes darkness in their daily lives.
Worship team
Leads campers in Christ-centered worship through music and prayer. Selects songs that reinforce the camp theme, encourages participation, and helps create an atmosphere where campers can experience and respond to God’s presence.
Kitchen staff
Plans, prepares, and serves meals and snacks for campers and staff. Maintains a clean and organized kitchen, follows food safety guidelines, and ensures dietary needs are met with care and hospitality.
Security
Ensures the overall safety and protection of campers, staff, and camp property. Remains alert during activities and overnight hours. Works closely with camp leadership and medical staff to respond quickly and calmly to any concerns or emergencies, helping create a safe environment where campers can focus on growing in Christ.
Maintenance
Ensures camp facilities and equipment are safe, functional, and clean. Handles repairs, setup, and daily upkeep to provide a welcoming and secure environment for campers and staff.
Games
Plans and leads organized games and recreational activities. Encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun while ensuring safety. Designs activities that support the theme and help campers build confidence and friendships.
Arts / Crafts / Talent Show
Plans and leads creative activities that allow campers to express the weekly theme through hands-on projects. Ensures supplies are organized and activities are meaningful, safe, and engaging for all ages.
Medical
Oversees camper and staff health needs. Administers medications as required, responds to injuries or illness, maintains medical records, and ensures a safe and healthy camp environment.
